How to Connect Pingstreams with Telegram
Note: The Telegram integration is available on the Pingstreams cloud version only.
First, log in to your Pingstreams Dashboard, then click “Apps” in the left menu and click Install on the Telegram icon.
Step 1: Create a Bot
Section titled “Step 1: Create a Bot”Creating a New Bot
Section titled “Creating a New Bot”You can create a new bot using Bot Father.
Just talk with BotFather or search for @BotFather in the Telegram app.
If you have already created a bot, then copy your telegram token and skip to Step 2. If you have lost the token, then use the /token command and select your bot to retrieve it.

Otherwise, use the /newbot command to create a new bot. The BotFather will ask you for a name and username, then an authorization token is generated for you.
Bot Configuration Requirements
Section titled “Bot Configuration Requirements”- Name: The name of your bot is displayed in the contact details and elsewhere
- Username: A short name, to be used in mentions and telegram.me links
- Usernames are 5-32 characters long and are case insensitive
- May only include Latin characters, numbers, and underscores
- Your bot’s username must end in ‘bot’ (e.g., ‘tetris_bot’ or ‘TetrisBot’)

Step 2: Integration with Pingstreams
Section titled “Step 2: Integration with Pingstreams”In your Pingstreams dashboard, enter the Bot Name and paste your Bot Token generated in the previous step, then click on the Connect button.

Step 3: Start Messaging from Telegram to Pingstreams
Section titled “Step 3: Start Messaging from Telegram to Pingstreams”Search for the bot you created using the bot name on Telegram.

You can send messages from mobile, web, or desktop applications and receive them on the Pingstreams dashboard.

- Verify that your bot username ends with ‘bot’
- If messages aren’t appearing, check that the bot is properly connected in your Pingstreams dashboard
- Make sure you’re using the Pingstreams cloud version for Telegram integration
With this integration, you can now manage all your Telegram conversations alongside your other communication channels in Pingstreams, providing a unified customer service experience.
