How to Integrate Facebook Messenger with Pingstreams
Within Pingstreams, you can manage your page messages and chats with our seamless integration with Facebook Messenger. This guide provides a comprehensive step-by-step tutorial to get you up and running.
Step 1: Configure Your Facebook Integration
Section titled “Step 1: Configure Your Facebook Integration”First, log in to the Pingstreams Dashboard, then click “Apps” in the left menu and click Install on the Facebook icon.

You will then be redirected to Facebook to enter your email and password.

Important Permission Requirements
Section titled “Important Permission Requirements”Facebook changed their user policies recently. While logged in, you will need to give Facebook permission to send page messages. This integration will not work without this permission.
From there, you can also add all Facebook Pages that you want your webhook to receive events for when people on Facebook Messenger chat with it.
Adding Facebook Pages
Section titled “Adding Facebook Pages”Please follow these instructions:
- Add/reconnect Facebook Pages and click allow/yes to all permissions.

- Give Pingstreams permission to access data.

- Once completed, you will see a confirmation page.

Step 2: Page Subscription
Section titled “Step 2: Page Subscription”Go back to the Pingstreams Dashboard, Apps section and select the Facebook page you’d like to connect.
Note: If you haven’t created any pages on Facebook, please do so to complete this step.
Your selected page will have a green tick. You can also select the department connected to your Facebook Bot or simply leave it as default.

Step 3: Test Your Integration
Section titled “Step 3: Test Your Integration”Now open your subscribed page and send a test message from Facebook Messenger.

After that, go to the Pingstreams dashboard and check your chats to confirm the integration is working properly.
